Project #1036 - Discussion Question

Pick the question you would like to answer. Only answer one questions. It doesn't matter how many words.

DQ 2:  Medication errors are a significant source of avoidable health care costs and patient harm. It's estimated 400,000 preventable drug related injuries occur in hospitals annually, each resulting in $4,700 of additional health care costs. Hospitals have been turning to information technologies such as Computerized Order Entry (CPOE), automated dispensing systems, and Bar Code Medication Administration Systems (BCMA) as tools to prevent medication errors.   Can mistakes still happen with these systems? What other new technologies that can reduce medication errors?

DQ 3:  How would you close the gap between the poor, health care-deficient populace and the affluent, who can afford proper, regular dental and medical care?
