Project #10617 - question 4(100 words or more)

The major similarities between the forms of drama, poetry, and short story are the narrative, symbols, and the foreshadowing.  These three are the similar forms in the literary writings and that are always present in the writings that get the readers focused while reading.
First of all almost all the literary writings of poems, short stories, and dramas have narrative usage in the literary writings. Like the drama of the of the "Riders of the sea" used narrative writings.
In the beginning it starts with narrator placing the action in the scene while reading the drama.
Nora: in a low voice
Where is she!
The narrative approach in the a short story is usually the beginning of the story.
The short story of the "Story of the lost son" starts with
There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father,"Father, i want right now what's coming to me."
By using the narrative form in their writings and the scenes are placed right in the beginnings of the literary writings you can also see the use of foreshadowing.
You can see what the literary writings are going to be about like "The riders in the sea".  When Nora speaks in a low voice you can tell it is more of emotion writing and the short story of "Story of the lost son" you can see it is about to sons that might be conflict but the scene is set for the action to start the story.
Through all the literary forms of writing symbols are also used.  Like in the poem by Robert frost "Nothing green can stay"  Natures first green is goldwhich symbolize the beginning in spring.  Also the use of the symbol in a drama Nora: Middling bad, God help us. There's a great roaring in the west, and it's worst it'll be getting when the tide's turn to the wind."  The symbol given in this drama is the violent storm heading to the coast from the west.  I think these three elements are all similar in the writings of the drama, poem, and the short story.  These three are vital to add to the suspense or raise the interest of the readers.
