CONFIDENCE INTERVALS

You must show all work and provide detailed explanation of your solution.

Please make sure you use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation when you are composing your post.  You may have to use the t- table or z-table in the Appendix of your book to help you answer these questions.

Choosing a Distribution:  Use a normal distribution or a t-distribution to construct a 95% confidence interval for the population mean. Justify your decision. If neither distribution can be used, explain why. Interpret the results. Use technology to construct the confidence interval.

Hospital Length of Stay. In a random sample of 13 people, the mean length of stay at a hospital was 6.3 days and the standard deviation was 1.7 days. Assume the lengths of stay are normally distributed.
