The overall purpose of this Presentation project is for you to focus on and demonstrate in detail how financial monitoring and control will can be applied to a project.
Your submission should expand beyond what our textbook covers and should review how this method can be use to extend and enhance traditional financial techniques.
This project only requires a presentation from you to explain your concept to an audience (in this case, your fellow students and your instructor). No written paper (e.g. term paper) is needed! But you may use the notes feature of your presentation to further explain the presentation slides and images.
Each student must prepare a presentation that visually communicates and explains in detail an application of a financial monitoring and control method or technology or model. The presentation should be about 25-30 slides in PowerPoint or in another format, like Word or pdf, NOTE that TurnItIn will not accept a .ppt presentation so you should save it as a pdf file when submitting to TurnItIn. Submit the ppt format in the portfolio (gradebook). Use of images, charts, screen shots, highlights, notes, labels, and graphics is required. Make use of the extensive functionality of PowerPoint or other methods to enhance the presentation, but please keep slide animations and transitions to a minimum (display all slide content at once).
The presentation should be self-explanatory , such that when viewed it communicates your detailed analysis to your audience. Make sure the text is readable with the background(s) you have selected on all your slides. Content should be organized, professional, and well supported by visual elements.
Imagine that you are being asked by your superiors to prepare this presentation to be reviewed by the senior executive team at your organization. Your promotion and reputation depends on doing a truly professional job. Just creating a presentation with bullets is not sufficient. Use your creative skills to make the presentation interesting, engaging, informative, and clear.
Make sure you take the time to describe the technical aspects covered and how they are being used (or will be used in financial monitoring & control. Your presentation should strike a balance between the technological review and business processes application(s) aspect of the solution described.
