Project #15823 - technical writing proposal

Please be able to meet deadline 11/3/13 at 9am. Thanks!

Assignment:

You are interested in starting a non-profit organization that will raise funds for a charitable cause. You will present a report to the Ford Foundation, which will consider your formal proposal and hopefully fund your organization for the first six months. What cause will you choose? How will you obtain funds in the future? What laws will you need to follow concerning non-profit organizations and how they collect monies? What do you need to know about taxes? What are some of the characteristics of successful fund-raising organizations?

Use the model illustrated in Figure 23.1, Proposal Report, p. 571 (attatched)

Topic Chosen:

My final project is a proposal for a weekend program for children in foster care. It would provide them with a safe supportive environment and guidance to learn and practice important life skills. These necessary life skills may not have been modeled or provide in their previous home environments. Life skills may include social skills, communications skills, self-esteem, appropriate relationships and boundaries, how to keep themselves safe, proper nutrition and hygiene. This program would provide a safe open environment for children in foster care to work on developing and growing these skills.

Research needs to be conducted.
