Project #16604 - Arguementative Paper

I need this paper by today 6pm eastern standard time:

In Session 4, you will deliver a mini paper in which you argue for or against the migration of U.S. jobs overseas.

Directions for Argument Synthesis (mini paper)

In this assignment, you will take a position for or against the migration of white-collar U.S. jobs overseas.  As American economist Alan S. Blinder has pointed out (2006), advances in telecommunications have enabled U.S. companies to hire professionals in other countries to perform many high-end service jobs in information technology and accounting, for example, at a lower cost.   Although this business model has enabled companies to charge American consumers less for services while also strengthening the economies of our global neighbors in countries like India and China, many American workers have lost their jobs to foreign competitors who possess knowledge and skills to American citizens.

[Before you write your paper: Organize your main thoughts and supporting source material to persuade readers of your position]

·         What are your main beliefs or assumptions regarding the migration of U.S. jobs overseas?: for example, As a “Christian” nation, should America be ‘our [global] brother’s keeper’ by helping to build up foreign economies even if it means losing a few U.S. jobs?

·         What is your main claim or thesis that reflects your fundamental belief or assumption regarding this issue?

·         What are your strongest, most compelling sources that support your position?

Paragraph 1 [Begin writing your argument mini paper]

Develop a thesis that conveys your position on this important issue.  Your thesis should appear somewhere in your first paragraph.

Paragraphs 2, 3, 4

Provide compelling evidence that supports your thesis for or against the migration of U.S. jobs overseas.

Paragraph 5

Present and respond to the counterargument by introducing the counter claim; explaining the main opposing argument; refuting the main opposing argument; and re-establishing your position.

Paragraph 6

Conclude by summarizing your primary rationale for your thesis.
