Project #16843 - polymorphism

Instructions

This week you will create program that uses Polymorphism. You can do this by using your existing classes you used for inheritance and composition. We recommend that you use this assignment to continue building Project 2, but this is not required.

To receive full credit, your program should meet the following requirements:

  1. Demonstrate the use of pointers by instantiating an object using a pointer.
  2. Demonstrate the use of polymorphism by invoking the different method in your derived class and base class (similar to the tutorial example: the display method from HangmanMenu and Menu).
  3. Move the code to process most of your application (the Menu in the Hangman example) into a Controller Class – if you have one. This should be done by using references so that the correct display menu will be invoked.
  4. Add comments to your code to indicate you know what is happening when you demonstrate 1 and 2 and 3 above.
  5. Assignment will have documentation (comments) in your code. Whether you use one or not, explain what a virtual function is and why you would use it.
  6. Assignment will compile and run.

If you are taking this class online: Please save your files as a ZIP file for submission. If you use a proprietary document format, please specify what software was used.
