Project #22400 - German literature

Write a 3 pages paper (double space) to answer this question. Be in your reply as specific as possible by taking concrete reference to the texts that we have read. Try to show both the width and the depth of your knowledge / thinking.

It has sometimes been claimed that literary works that have a revolutionary socio-political content, also use a revolutionary aesthetic form or practice to express this content. This thesis is based on the hypothesis that an exceeded social laws need to be confirmed by a parallel transgression of accepted aesthetic laws. Take position for or against this hypothesis by taking one of the texts read by us (Heine: Ideen. Das Buch Le Grand. Buchner: Woyzeck  Droste – Hulshoffs: The Jew's Beech) as example for the coherence or incoherence of revolutionary content and revolutionary form.
