Project #24711 - Career and Employment Management with PLE Reflection

As you transition into Week 4 of this course, review all that you have accomplished to this point, including the following:

  • In UNIV202-V, you took the WholeBrain assessment, identified your personal thinking preferences, and established SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely). You also researched health care organizations, established professional networking connections, completed 2 informational interviews, and created your professional learning experience (PLE) plan.
  • In UNIV203-V, you have spent time reflecting on your PLE and have created networking letters, a cover letter, and an updated resume. You have also learned various job search strategies and drafted answers to 10 common interview questions.

With your graduation from CTU in sight, now is the time to bring together all that you have learned. To complete this assignment, you will need to create an initial draft of your Career Management Plan. Your answers should be well-thought-out and thorough. It is important that you provide a title page, include your cover letter and resume within the document, use consistent margins and font, and create a polished layout. Be certain to do a spelling and grammar check, and proofread all of your documents before submission.

Career Management Plan

The career management plan (CMP) should serve as a roadmap to help guide your transition from the Associate of Science in Health Administration Services (ASHAS) program into your desired career. This plan will help you integrate the insights, information, and research generated in UNIV202-V and 203-V and key aspects of your PLE. This written plan should be no more than 10 pages and should be comprised of the following components:

  1. SMART goals
  2. Target jobs and employers
  3. Skill development and learning plan
  4. Cover letter, resume, and interview question responses

Your plans should demonstrate that you have utilized the following to generate ideas and thoughts:

CMP Part 1: SMART Goals

For this section, revisit your Career Management Tracking Tool, and answer the following questions (pay particular attention to your PLE and your upcoming graduation):

    • How have your short-term goals changed as a result of completing your PLE?
    • How have your short-term goals changed now that you are just weeks from obtaining your ASHAS degree?
  • Long-term SMART goals
    • What are your current long-term goals?
    • In what ways did your PLE and the professionals whom you met shape your future long-term career goals?

CMP Part 2: Target Jobs and Employers

  • List the 3 jobs and organizations that you identified in Phase 2.
  • How do the 3 jobs and organizations that you identified fit with your goals?
  • How might the professional associations identified in Phase 2 support your goals?

CMP Part 3: Skill Development and Learning Plan

  • What is your plan and time line to develop these skills further?
