Reflective Journal Assignment

 

 

 

The goal of this assignment is to critically respond to articles/readings of your choice from the Course Outline. A reflective journal is a tool for analysis and introspection to help make your learning experience more meaningful through reflection.

 

 

 

You will be submitting 3 Journal Reflections in total in the following sequence:

 

 

 

  • Reflective Journal #1 (to be submitted by Week 5)
  • Reflective Journal #2 (to be submitted by Week 10)
  • Reflective Journal #3 (to be submitted by Week 15)

 

 

 

Some questions to consider while writing your reflection are:

 

 

 

  • What is the article about? What are the key ideas/messages being presented?
  • What did you learn? What was reinforced?
  • What new questions or issues did this learning raise?  Do I want to investigate further?
  • What is significant about what I learned?  How will this influence me?
  • Do you agree or disagree with the author? Why? Back up your opinion based on examples from other readings and/or your personal experiences.
  • What ideas/perspectives were missing from the article?

 

 

 

You will be graded on how thoroughly and thoughtfully you respond to each reading.
