Act Analysis Guidance Form 

 

Analyze the assigned acts using the following guidance. When entering your analysis comments 

on the Discussion Board, consider the following format to present your investigation 

1. Name and date of the Act, the sponsor, and watchdog agency 

2. Meaning and intent of the Act as it relates to the chapter subject matter 

3. Statements that cover the salient points of the Act (in the detail necessary to explain the 

provisions) 

4. Model(s) policies/regulations that companies use to express or conceal the spirit of the 

law 

5. Articulate how salient points are or could be used in your organization 

6. Your conclusions: what you learned from this analysis 

 

You select your own act (law, such as FMLA, OSHA, etc.) topic from the textbook. The paper must be in APA style, have three to five references, and four to five pages in body (not including cover and reference pages). Use the Act Analysis Guidance Form (posted above)
