To develop a strategic direction for your chosen Internet-based company, answer all of the following questions:

• What is the firm’s intended positioning strategy?

• What is the firm’s intended differentiation strategy?  

 

• Which e-marketing strategies will be especially effective for the firm?  

• Which e-marketing strategies should the firm avoid?   

 

Also, consider the potential strategic and tactical areas for developing a competitive advantage:  

• In which areas is your company likely to be better than competing firms?

• In which areas will your company’s unique capabilities likely provide a sustainable competitive advantage (or a basis for developing one)?   

 

Include all of these subsections in your paper.

As this is an e-marketing course, focus on the company’s e-marketing strategies but do not overlook other non e-marketing-based strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (they too are an integral component of the firm’s overall strategic direction).
