Whitney, Eleanor N. Understanidng Nutrition (12th ed.). Belmont, C.A:  Wadsworth, Cengage Learning, 2011. Print.
The author covers different information related to nutrition in general. In the introduction, an overview on nutrition is given. He provides food choices that are in provision of different nutrients. He provides food sources for carbohydrates, vitamins and proteins.  The book also provides guidelines on how one can conduct research on nutrition. The book provides information on how human body digests different sources of nutrients. This book is outstanding because it reports on how different sources of nutrients can be made useful. The book explores different limitations of different foods. The explanations are presented from a scientific base.
The source will be significant in supporting the claim that being a vegetarian does not guarantee one a healthy life. What counts are the different sources of nutrition that suits a person body needs at different stages or conditions.  I prefer this source because it is has current information and thus it has incorporated recent issues in nutrition. Finally, the author has a wide background in nutrition and supports his information with other studies.
Foer, Jonathan, S. Eating Animals. New York: Back Bay Books/Little, Brown and Co, 2010. Print.
This book provides the authors experience with the idea of switching from omnivore to vegetarian and vice versa. The author answers that the need to be a vegetarian or an omnivore since his teenage times compelled him to search for answers when he neared fatherhood. To make right choices for his children, he collects data from factory farms and determines what was wrong or right. He synthesized different sources including memoir, literature, science, philosophy and personal experience in the move to make correct choices. He finds that eating of animals is driven by fictions used to justify how people adopt their eating habits. Folklore, pop tales and national myths have hindered this understanding.  This work is similar to the previous book because they both try to disapprove some common myths on being omnivorous.
This source will help support the claim that the war against people being omnivorous has been strengthened by false myths and thus supporting the idea of vegetarianism. This is because the source is likely to be valid because the author uses multiple techniques in collecting data.  The author also has a varied background in morality and being creative.
Craig, Winston J. Nutrition concerns and Health Effects of Vegetarian Diets. Nutr Clin Prac, 25.6: 613 – 620, 2010. Print.
In this journal article, the author addresses the concerns in vegetarian diets. This author argues how fortified foods can be used to supplement vegetarian diets. The article reveals that vegetarian diet is vital in addressing the requirements to reduce the risks that of developing chronic illness. The data collected revealed that vegetarians are at an advantage when compared with non-vegetarians, but they also are threatened when they do not balance diet with other non-vegetable foods.  This research supports the information on the prior books because it demonstrates the need to supplement different diets to cover the challenges of depending on one.
This article will help argue that there is need to integrate different diets and not only relying on vegetables. This integration will help meet all nutrients requirements. This source is reliable because primary data was collected and analyzed to address the issue of vegetarianism. Also, the author makes references to other studies.
Dwyer, Johanna T. Health Aspects of Vegetarian Diets. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 48.3, 1988: 712 -738 . Print.
The author of this article reviews the studies on how vegetarian diets impacts morbidity and mortality. This diet is found to have affect health, longevity and nutritional status. However, its morbidity rate is similar or lower to that of non-vegetarians. In some diseases, there is strong data on how vegetarian diet can help. Conversely, there is fair data on how vegetarian diet can prevent some diseases like osteoporosis.  The study reveals how dealing with some diseases can be manipulated through omnivorous diets. This study is consistent with previous sources on the need to integrate different diets in order to achieve best nutrition results.
The source will be vital in supporting the claim that vegetarian diet cannot help prevent some chronicle diseases. These diseases can be manipulated by the use of other diets. I found this study valuable because the author reviews other studies on vegetarian diets.

it should be simple and easy for international students to read
