Integrative Final Project Instructions

The purpose of this final project is to integrate the information from your textbooks as well as presentations included in your course.

There are 2 options for this project, and you will select 1 of the following to investigate:

 

1.     Movie Character: Select a movie character (lead character or supporting character) that exemplifies issues related to at-risk youth. These categories include:

    • School Dropout
    • Substance Use and Addiction
    • Teenage Pregnancy, STDs, and/or Risky Sexual Behavior
    • Juvenile Delinquency and Youth Violence
    • Youth Suicide

When writing on this character please include the following sections:

·      Legal and Ethical Issues (related to the chosen character for your case summary)

·      Individual Characteristics of High Risk Youth

·      Family Problems Related to At-Risk Youth

·      School Issues That May Impact At-Risk Youth

·      Prevention, Intervention ,and Treatment Options

 

2.     Adolescent Risk Topic: Select a topic from the following categories to investigate:

    • School Dropout
    • Substance Use and Addiction
    • Teenage Pregnancy, STDs, and Risky Sexual Behavior
    • Juvenile Delinquency and Youth Violence
    • Youth Suicide

This paper will require the following sections:

·      Prevention, Intervention and Treatment Options

 

The body of your paper is to be a minimum of 12 pages not including the title page, abstract, and reference pages. You will be required to use 10 peer-reviewed journal articles for your paper as well as materials from the course textbooks and presentations. You may also use the Holy Bible, in addition to the 10 required journal articles. Internet sources will not be accepted for this paper. Your peer-reviewed sources can be retrieved from the Liberty University Library via a search format (e.g. PsycArticles).
