Q1: Bolman and Deal (2013) suggest that reframing allows one to move from the oversimplified and polarized views of the two main perspectives on leadership.  Using Exhibit 17.4 (p. 355) as your guide, Talk about yourself as a leader or someone your work for and explain how they either are, or are not, effective in those frames that apply to them.  It is possible that they may have been both effective and ineffective in the same frame, depending on the circumstance.

 

Q2: Using Kotter's eight change strategies and its integration for reframing found in Exhibit 18.2 (page 391), choose four of the eight change strategies and give an example for each of the corresponding frames for that strategy from your own organization if applicable or from another organization.

 

Q3:Give an example from each frame that demonstrates its perspective on the ethical responsibilities of organizations and the moral authority of leaders.  Use your own organization or one of which you are very familiar to illustrate each perspective from an ethical and ethical leadership stance.
