In a message to students at the college where you work, you need to clarify some rules regarding the use of computers in the Student Centre: The lab is reserved for use by students registered in a full time program. All registered students have Internet access as well as a college email account and 600 MB of space on the college server. No food or beverage is allowed in the lab and students are asked to leave workstations clean when they leave. The lab is open from 7: 00 a. m. until 10: 00 p. m. Monday through Friday and from 9: 00 a. m. until 3: 00 p. m. on the weekends. The latest versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office are installed on all computers in the lab.

11. Format the letter correctly - letterhead or heading, inside address, date, salutation, complimentary closing, etc. You may have to invent some information.

You have just learned that Helen Thomas, the energetic assistant buyer for National Fashion Stores, has been promoted to chief buyer. She is now in a position to make important buying decisions. As the sales manager of Elegance Manufacturing, you have dealt with Ms. Thomas before in selling your line of women’s sportswear. You get along well with her and think that, since she is efficient, she will be good at her new job. Write her a letter of congratulations.
