PLEASE NO PLAGIARIZED WORK!!!

250+ Words.

After reading Chapters 21 and 22 in our textbook, consulting our electronic reserve reading, and checking out some of our film clips, please prepare a response to the Discussion Question below.

Women constitutionally received the right to vote in 1920, yet this reform did not have the transformative effect on politics that Suffragists had hoped. Although women seemed to have gained momentum in the years following World War I, a certain conservative backlash in American politics during the 1920's seemed to have limited their collective gains. By the end of that decade it was clear that politics were still controlled by men. Can you think of something comparable in modern American history?  Have women achieved equal political standing with men in modern America? Why or why not?

Please answer the question as precisely and specifically as possible. As always, we would ask that you do not attempt to answer the question in itemized form, as though you were taking a multiple-choice exam. Instead, please develop a cohesive essay which addresses all the various aspects of the DQ in traditional narrative form. Please draw directly from our course materials in order to support your answer.
