In this section you will create a document on your computer to answer the IDs, Essay, and Bonus questions. Please name the document Test1.doc and be sure that you save in on your computer before uploading (sending) it to me in the event something does not work correctly. Its a good idea to constantly "Save" the document as you are working so that you do not lose it in the event of a computer crash.
IDENTIFICATIONS - (up to 5 pts. each) As a Word document attachment, briefly (one paragraph each) identify five (5) of the following eight (8) Identifications. Please note that the IDs have a total value of up to 25 points towards your grade.

ESSAY - (up to 25 pts.) Using the same Word document (or whichever word processing package you are using), answer only one of the the following essay questions. Your essay should be at least one to two pages in length.
A) Among the most significant events in 20th century American History were the New Deal and Second World War. In detail, describe and analyze the impact that the New Deal had on domestic affairs and how World War II helped to shape the future of America’s foreign affairs during the several decades which followed these developments. Be sure to provide specific examples in your answer.
B) The United States was a much different place by the end of the 1950s compared to the 1940s. Moreover, how did America change during this period? In detail, describe and analyze the political, social, cultural, economic, and geographical changes which took place during the 1950s and some of the key factors responsible for them. Be sure to provide specific examples in your answer.
BONUS: (up to 5 pts.) Using the same Word document attachment (or whichever word processing package you are using), answer the following bonus question. Briefly (within one page) analyze the creation of the United Nations. Be sure to discuss its mission and components and why it succeeded where the League of Nations failed. Please note that the Bonus will have a value of up to 5 points towards your grade.
