1.05: Range

 

Write in a Java program  to read two integers  and display the number of integers  that lie between  them, including the integers  themselves. For example, there are four integers  are between  3 and 6: 3, 4, 5, and 6.

 

 

 

Input Notes: The input consists of two integers  typed  at the console.

 

 

 

Output  Notes (Prompts and Labels): The program 's first line of output  is:

 

         Greetings.

 

The program  writes a single prompt for the input data:

 

        Enter a minimum and maximum value 

 

After the two integers  have been entered and read, the program  prints the line

 

        The number of values  in the range from FIRST to SECOND is

 

(where FIRST is the first number that had been typed  in and SECOND is the second one)

 

followed by a single line consisting only of the range that was calculated.

 

 

 

SPECIFICATION OF NAMES: Your application class  should be called Range

 

 

 

Instructor Notes: Look at Listing 1.1 (pg. 15 in eBook) as a starting point.
