Key Assignment

Part 1:

HR professionals play a critical role in building a successful organization. HR functions are commonly coordinated using a service-based approach to support the organization’s strategies and goals. In the key assignment, you will create a presentation for new employee orientation. The presentation will describe the spectrum of HR services available to employees.

Choose a real organization, either one that you work for or an organization that interests you to use as an example and create a presentation that addresses the following:

What services does staffing provide to job candidates, new employees and their managers?

What types of training and development programs are available to employees?

What bases or types of pay are used in the organization’s compensation strategy?

What benefits will the new employee receive?

How does the organization evaluate the performance of employees?

Part 2:

Review the comments of your course facilitator and colleagues and revise your assignment using the feedback you received. In addition, please add slides to your presentation addressing the following:

What strategies does HR use to motivate employees and support the competitiveness of the organization?

Identify a recent organizational change or innovation and describe HR’s role in the change process.

I think the best way to evaluate your assignment is to go through it slide by slide, and point out what works, and what doesn't.  Good luck on your final project.

Slide 2 -
2nd bullet point instead of deliver it should be delivery. 3rd bullet point I do not believe you need an "a" in front of solid man power.  4th bullet point has missing words and extra words in some part.  Make sure to read over and correct as necessary. I am assuming that you are going to add to your notes, but what you have written has several grammatical errors that need to be corrected.
Slide 2 - The title of your slide is Training and development programmers, I believe this should be Training and Development Programs.  This slide has several grammatical errors also.  The training and development slide was one of the requirements so good job on having it in your presentation.
Slide 4 -  Grammatical errors
Slide 5 - Compensation strategy was another requirement, so good job again on having a slide on it.  Grammatical errors on this slide also.
Slide 6 - This is the benefits slide.  Does the company offer insurance, 401K, paid vacation etc?  You listed training on this slide, but that was covered on slide 2.
Slide 7 - Good job on how performance is reviewed.  Good bullet points.
Slide 8 - Not sure this is necessary, but if you leave it in, you should list bullet points that you want to summarize, and elaborate in the notes section.
Overall you have a good start.  I did not see a slide that listed the services of staffing.  I am having problems with that one also.  I even called my corporate Human Resource Manager, but she was not much help.  Your notes as you know are not long enough, but I am sure you are working on those.  You need to make sure that you read over your work, because there are a lot of grammatical errors.  I find it helps to have someone else look over it, and offer suggestions.  I would do this before submitting my final project.  I hope this helps.
