The attachment has 3 problems. The problem that needs to be solved is schaum's problem 13.12.

As shown in the figure to the right, a column of water of height = 40cm supports a column of height = 31cm of an unknown fluid. What is the density of the unknown fluid? That part has been solved. There is a second part to the question under the title "extensions".

The problem states: Estimate the height of mercury that has a density of 13.6 gm/cm^3
