Hey there, looking for someone to read or have already read "The Penelopiad" By Margaret Atwood and "Medea" By Euripides and to write a 2-3 page paper comparing two characters. You can choose two characters from The Penelopiad, two from Medea, or one from each one. Just a total of two characters.
"The Penelopiad" By Margaret Atwood is a book that is about 200 pages. I do not have a PDF of the entire book for you so unless you own the book or plan to buy it, I don't know how you will be able to read it unless you can find a place to read it online.
"Medea" By Euripides is a play and is about 43 pages. The pages are short. I have a PDF of the full text available for you. You do NOT have to read the introduction - Just the play itself which starts on page 17 (page 7 of the pdf) and ends on about page 61 (page 29 of pdf).
The link to the PDF is here: http://www.docdroid.net/hlrw/medea.pdf.html
Below is what the teacher's directions/instructions are. Please follow them exactly. :
Choose two characters from The Penelopiad or Medea that you find interesting in either action or personality. Analyze and compare each character paying special attention to their tragic flaws and their strengths.
Find 3 or 4 examples from the texts that demonstrate your view of the characters and discuss your reading of them.
The final essay should be 2-3 pages and must use direct quotes from the plays.
Below you will find some (not all) of the possible character traits that you might examine. You should be able to find connections between the characters. Give equal attention to each example and trait you discuss.
Stay away from overly broad characterizations like good or evil, since the characters are all complicated and none of them are just one thing.
