Project #43669 - Mythology questions

Each part needs to be 300 words minimum and doesn’t not need to be in APA format. All reading material is attached.

Part 1:

Mythology and Knowing, Chapter 3 reading

In myths, the two genders are often defined by the roles that they fill within the myths.  In this chapter of Myth and Knowing, Leonard & McClure examine the female gender as it was displayed within the myths, how those roles translated into ancient societies, and what it means for us today.

Describe the different roles of the divine female.  Cite examples from specific myths (second half of the chapter) that align with these roles.  Can these roles and/or myths serve as a guide for women today?  If so, how?

Part 2:

Mythology and Knowing, Chapter 4 reading

In this Chapter, Leonard & McClure examine the roles of male deities (gods) in different myths.  They do this by establishing categories by which to define these gods under the section Images of the Masculine.  After reading this section, choose a myth from the second half of the chapter and describe the role(s) that a particular deity fills.  Does this deity set a good example by which men of modern or earlier times could emulate?  Explain.

Part 3:

Summarize the following reading "Demeter and Persephone" in the "Greece and Rome" chapter of World Mythology

Part 4:

Summarize the following reading "The Children of the Sun" in the "Americas" chapter of World Mythology
