Project #45423 - character application

VISUAL STUDIOS, C#, MUST INCLUDE DEBUG AND SOLUTION FILES.

Instructions

Create a C#.NET console application that creates a character class that properly demonstrates Object Oriented Programming concepts like encapsulation and data abstraction. Create a program to test the class. Write, debug, and execute the C# code.

If you are taking this class on ground: Your instructor will provide you with additional guidelines for this assignment.

If you are taking this class online: Please complete the assignment instructions as stated below:

In this assignment, you will begin writing a GUI application. Your first step is to write the base class for the characters in a theoretical game. The application will contain a class named Character. Name the project CharClass, or something else relevant. Each character must have at least one data attribute of your choice, a Boolean representing an attribute of your choice, and a randomly generated value that will be used in the life points calculation. It must properly demonstrate the use of multiple constructors, set accessors for each data member (sets the value for a data member), get accessors for each data member (returns the value of a data member), and a function named calcPoints() which returns the life points for the character. The life points will be calculated in specific ways for various types of characters developed in future weeks, but for now it can just return a zero value.

Prompt the user for some Character values and store them in the class. Your application must interact with a user. You should display the results to the user. If you can, display the character information in a MessageBox (not required—see Week 2 Lecture for details).

If you do not wish to create a character creator, please consult your instructor with other ideas for an application that will interest you early in the week. Do not wait until the last minute and it is instructor’s discretion to allow other applications.

When done, zip all applicable files into one file.
