For the who project use there will be a transcription form attached, which show what the child says in a video that was recorded.
Part 1: Discuss the findings of the chart you made. Is your child normal for his/her age? Refer to Figure 4.6 on page 168 (will be attached). Be sure to discuss missing sounds from your chart. Is that expected for his/her age? What segment substitution processes does s/he use? Give examples. If your child does not do any processes, give an example from one word of what would be “normal” for that age.
Part 1 due in (2 hr)
Part 2: INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION–Discuss your reactions to doing this project, working with the child, working with your group members. Was it easier, harder, and more enriching than you thought? What have we been learning that has “come to light” in doing the project? This is your opportunity to write your feelings about this project.
Must be one page, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, and size 12 font only!
Part 3. QUOTE REFLECTION/ANALYSIS – Choose a quote from your textbook from the Phonology and/or lexical chapter that you find interesting. Write 4 paragraphs. (Pages to choose quote from will be attached) please use a meaningful quote, don’t use something simple.
1. Type out the quote and indicate the page number from Hoff
2. Explain what the quote means in your own words
3. Why did you choose this quote? Why is it interesting? surprising? how does it relate to something we’ve learned in class? Analyze the quote.
4. How does this quote relate to your case study?
