Project #47139 - Reflective research paper

ou are to write a 3-5 page reflective research paper, related to the case study below. The first step is to pick any city in Michigan (other than Kalamazoo). Next, take time to read, reflect and become familiar with the case study.  Then, I want you to put yourself in the parent role of the person in the case study. Next, I want you to research and reflect on the questions below and use them to write your paper as a guide/outline. The   Format is as follows: double-spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font, and 1 inch margins. In addition, write a resource page.  All resources should be noted including (phone inquiries, online searches, books, articles, and 1:1 interviews/discussions). Your paper needs to be written in APA format.  An electronic copy is due and to be sent to me no later than November 12 at 11:59 pm. Below are the questions/guidelines.
• As a parent I need to learn about alcohol and the effects it can have on my adult son?
• As a parent what role do I play in helping him?
• I need to learn what enabling is?  (expand on enabling in your paper)
• Should my son live with me or somewhere else and why (your opinion)
• What is AA
• What is Alan-on
• I need to learn about times and locations of the AA and Alan-on meeting (in the city you picked)
• I need to learn what kind of treatment people get once they get out of a Detox/rehab center
• I need to learn about the treatment that is available in my city (the city you picked)
• I also need to find out what a alcohol halfway house is and find out where the closes one is
• The last 1-2 paragraphs should be a reflection of what you think the value is of researching and writing this paper
Case study: Mark Demount is a 22-year-old singe Caucasian male with no reported children. He graduated high school. His GPA was 2.8. Mark had school related issues including impulsivity, skipping school numerous times, and aggressive behaviors. He started using cigarettes at age 12. He started using alcohol and marijuana at age 14. At age 21, he was diagnosed with alcohol dependence (303.90 in the DSM-IV-TR). He is unemployed. Mark’s parents are both together. He has one older brother and one older sister-neither have had issues with alcohol or drugs. His parents can be considered mild social drinkers. Mark has a paternal grandfather that is an alcoholic, as well as a maternal grandmother that has had issues with prescription (pain killers-opiates). Mark was caught drinking and driving at age 21 at which time he was put in an alcohol Detox/rehab for 14 days. He is scheduled to get out of the rehab in 4-5 days.
