Project #48699 - 322 DB 3

The basic building block of object-oriented programming is the concept of an object. The world is full of objects, but sometimes it is difficult to think of objects in terms of programming concepts. For this discussion, you will use your personal knowledge, experience, and ideas to discuss how a programming language of your choice handles objects.

In this discussion, address any two (or more) of these points:

  • How the language manages objects (pointers, garbage collection, and memory management)
  • The syntax of object declaration and usage
  • How the language declares properties of an object
  • How the language executes the methods or actions of an object (for example, buttons are an object, and they can be clicked, which is an action)
  • How the language disposes of an object
  • Does the language initialize and instantiate the object as separate actions? Is declaration a separate stage?
