Project #49503 - consumer behavior

There are two cases to which you have to answer the questions to. The answeres should contain the key terms and definitions that are provided. Each set of the qestions should be 3 pages, so for two cases it should be 6 pages in total. 

Questions for case 1 Toyota 2008 

1.In what ways Toyotas new product development system designed to serve customers? 

2. In what ways is Toyotas manufacturing system is designed to serve customers?

3. How does Toyota personalize its cars and trucks to serve customers needs? 

4. In its price ranges, how do you think Toyota cars stack up against the competition? 

5. How did the internet has changed ways in which consumers shop for and buy cars? 

Key Terms to use: consumer behavior, marketing concept, marketing strategy, consumer exchanges and interections, the dynamic of consumer behavior. 

Qestions for case 2 Barnes and Noble

1. What affective responses do yo think B&N environment creates? How might consumers cognitive systems interpret these responses? From a marketing perspective which is more important to B&N- affect or cognition?

2. Rob goes to B&N location to hang out and meet people. Lisa goes only when she wants to purchase a specific book or CD. Describe how their integration processes might convince them to choose B&N over the myriad of options they have?

3. Many of the activities that take place in B&N stores do not reqire a purchase. Participating in store discussions and and going to in store performances are free. And obviously it doesnt cost anything to symply go in, sit in a chair and read a book. So why do people buy? How do this activities influence consumers affect and cognition?

4. create an associative network of your knowlegde about B&N. How do you acquire this knowledge? What might activate that knowlegde structure? How can marketers activate your knowledge structure? What part of your knowlege structure can activate your decision to visit B&N? 

5. Describe a script for shopping a bookstore. 

6. Visit B@N website and make some suggestions of how to make their website more sticky.
