Project #50017 - Portfolio

2 articles summery (each 150~220) + 500word ( What I actually did learn from the course, what I contributed and how this experience will shape my learning in the coming months” ( i attached my work+ your 2summery)

Please ensure that you have read all the texts referenced below closely and that you have written your 150-200 word portfolio notes for each of these.  These notes will outline key points of interest; key learning you have accessed through the reading and key issues for which you need further clarification.  This further clarification should be sought either through workshop discussion, tutor office hours.

Your notes may be written as simple short paragraphs (with the title of the cited work and, where appropriate, the chapter or page number(s) as a header.  Alternatively the notes may be presented in the style outlined by CeDAS in the Academic Skills workshops.  Some of you may have received other advice previously but, now that I have seen an example of the CeDAS style, I am happy with either approach.  What is not acceptable is an approach that seeks to lay your notes out as a series of bullet points.

In all cases, the title or bibliographic information identifying the source text will not be counted in the word count.  I would remind all students that the College’s regulations on word counts permit +/- 10% on the word count range (so with a 150 – 200 word limit your absolute minimum is 135 words and your absolute maximum is 220 words).

Only those readings specifically picked out for you and listed below need to have the 150-200 word portfolio notes.  You may, from time to time, be given readings in addition to those below and you may well find it useful to take notes on these, lectures, workshops and other additional readings.  These notes may be significantly longer than 200 words but any such notes should not be included in your portfolio

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Throughout your studies on this unit you are expected to keep notes (c. 150 – 200 words) on each textbook reading and journal article that is set for lecture reading, workshop reading or essay preparation.  These notes should provide an overview of the material read, its meaning, what you learned from it (what was new to you or used in a way which was used in a different way to that which you had experienced in the past).  The notes should also provide an overview of specific issues for which you require greater explanation or clarity. Once any questions have been answered the notes will include the answers that you have found.  These notes, together with the initial submission will form the bulk of your reflective portfolio.

The final element of your work will be a mirror piece to that submitted on October 16th.  In this final piece of work (no more than 500 words) you will reflect on:

“What I actually did learn from the course, what I contributed and how this experience will shape my learning in the coming months”
