Project #53563 - Alcohol in US Society

500 words. Increasingly, as the recent NFL cases illustrate, the state/courts seem more willing to step into family life-- and workplaces tend also to be inclined to fire/punish employees for improper/anti-social behavior outside of the workplace.  The chapter talks about how courts can limit parents from smoking in front of kids, due to the known problems.  How far would we want the courts to go with things like that?  A lot can be done in the name of protecting children.  And yet, of course, we really do want to try to protect kids from serious harm.  Very interested in unpacking this on Thursday and hearing your thoughts!
