Project #5379 - college algebra

1.  Give a table with at least three ordered paris that are solutions, and graph it.

    y=-|x+4|

2. (see attached for the graph, #82)  Determine the internals of the doman for which each function is increasing, decreasing, and constant.

3. Write an equation for the line described, Give answers in standard form and in slope intecpt form(if possible)  "through (5,1), undefined slope

4.  Write an equation in standard form and in slope intecept form

through (4,-4) perpendicular to x=4

5.  See attachment 2.6, 

A.  Which one is graph of y=|x|? On what interval is it increasing?

B.  Which one is the graph of y= [[x]]? what is the value of y when x =1.5?

c.  Whihc graphs of functions decrease over part of hte domain and increase over the rest of the domain? On what inervals do they increase? Decrease?

 

6. For each piecewise-defined function, find (a) f(-5), (b) f(-1), (c) f(0), (d) d(3)
