Term Project (Paper and Presentation) - Group Strategic Marketing Case
By the second week, students will select their team and company. Choose an industry you are interested in researching. Then, choose a public company (different one for each group) in the industry that you wish to research.
Be sure that there are many secondary sources (articles) of information on the chosen company and industry. Gathering relevant financial information can assist you in your marketing analysis. Find articles on the company and its competitors and industry that relate to its business strategies and marketing activities. You should be able to find a minimum of 20 references from a wide variety of sources (go beyond the Internet!).
Based upon the information contained in the articles or from other resources, choose/develop/analyze a key marketing decision the company will have to confront within the next 6-12 months. This focal strategic marketing decision (e.g., introduce a product line, enter a market, use a new distribution strategy, target a segment of the market, etc.) will then become the basis for your group's marketing analysis.
From class and external material, prepare a paper (minimum of 20 pages excluding references and appendices) that discusses in-depth how the company being investigated should confront the selected issue. In essence, you are preparing a case study of the company chosen. Be sure to use the material covered in your text and other handouts/readings as a guide to setting up the paper format.
Include in the paper sections on: 1) situation analysis, 2) problem definition, 3) identification of alternatives, 4) criteria for making the decision, 5) analysis of the decision, 6) recommendations, 7) anticipated competitive reactions, 8) implementation plan, and 9) evaluation metrics.
It is my term group project for my marketing strategy class, my parts of the project are 1.situation alanlysis 2.problem definition
the company that my group choose for this case is APPLE. And we are concentrating on the iWatch.
For the whole 2 parts i think 3-4 pages would be good.
