# Project #5833 - Rocket

Quadratic equations model most objects that are projected through the air.

1. How many seconds was your rocket in the air for? 9.2

2. Write down the quadratic equation that models the flight of your rocket.

h(t)=gt^2+Vot+So

0=-16(9.2)^2+Vo(9.2)+3

3. Using your equation, calculate the initial velocirty of your rocket in feet per secon and in miles per hour.

4. Using your equation, determine the maximum height of your rocket in feet.

5. Determine the x and y-intercepts of your parabola.

6. Graph the flight path of your rocket.

7. Analyze the path your rocket takes from start to finish. Use math and science vocabulary words such as line of symmetry, vertex, opens up/down, maximum height, gravity, etc.
