Project #58659 - HENRY DAVID THOREAU’S WALDEN and CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE

Hello everyone:

Did anyone read that book before?

I have to write the following:

READ AT LEAST THE FIRST TWO CHAPTERS OF WALDEN (“ECONOMY” & “WHERE I LIVED AND WHAT I LIVED FOR” AND CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE.  Find 5 passages, or axioms, or assertions that Thoreau makes in WALDEN and (1) define what Thoreau meant, and (2) whether you agree with him or disagree, and why.  [EXAMPLE:  Thoreau wrote “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”  If you choose this, then you should relate (1) how Thoreau supports this statement, and (2) whether or not you agree with him based on your own experience and observations of the world.]
