Project #60200 - Week6 discussion

this is a discussion question that needed to be answered, so not very long.

There is a belief in services industries within hospitality and tourism that relatively poor remuneration is offered in return for perceived additional ‘grey economy’ benefits. These benefits include subsidized food and accommodations, tips, travel, and clothing, moving also into the area of ‘fiddles’ and ‘knock offs.’ (Baum, 2006).

From your own experience, discuss whether such ‘grey’ benefits are or should be part of the services industries? Does their inclusion serve as necessary compensation to offer balance to potentially lacking benefits or does their inclusion taint the industry?
