Project #60622 - History questions

Part One: Big themes:  One essay question for each of the following themes will appear on the exam.  The answers need to be long enough to answer the question fully, and with specific details, but in general good answers will probably be about 1-1.5 typed, double-spaced pages.  In studying for these big themes, start by outlining your notes from class, supplemented with the power point slides.  Then, integrate the readings (especially the primary sources) into your outlines.  Complete answers will make use of the readings to answer the questions posed.

Structures of the Tributary State (within Europe and Beyond)

French Revolution (Subject to Citizen)

Overseas trade, enclosures, and the Industrial Revolution (Peasant to Laborer)

Part Two: Map Quiz IDs:  Five of the ten locations from the first map quiz (listed again below) will appear on the exam.  You will provide, for each location, a three to five sentence explanation of the significance of each location, including a sentence or two relating how it ties in to the big themes (see above) of the class.  Some of the locations potentially have a great deal of significance, and so it is imperative that you answer succinctly, identifying the most significant or most salient features of the location in question.

Holland/Netherlands. Ottoman Empire, Danube River, Mediterranean Sea, London, Rome, Prussia, Spain, France, Austria.
