Assume you were given the opportunity to interview for the position. Write a post-interview thank you letter to the employer.

 Deduct points if: (1) the cover letter is not targeted sufficiently to the job ad and fails to link the student’s skills to the job requirements (maximum deduction 30 points); (2) the letters do not contain appropriate content (maximum deduction 20 points); (3) the letters are not formatted in standard business style (maximum deduction 20 points); (4) there are grammatical and spellingerrors (maximum deduction 20 points); (5) the job ad was not submitted with the letters (deduct 10 points).  0-99

West Coast Regional Sales Manager

About the Job

Position description:

Position will be responsible for the strategic planning and development of the Western Sales Region, as well as the region’s tactical operations and achievement of the bookings plan.  The position will report to the Director of Global Sales and Marketing.

The position will ideally be located in the immediate San Jose, CA area.

The Region will have both territorial and strategic accounts.  Territorial accounts are covered by independent representative firms managed by the Regional Manager. Strategic accounts will be largely covered directly by the Regional Manager.

 

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

Achievement of the annual booking plan on a quarterly basis

Development and execution of a strategic regional growth plan

Management and support of the regions representative channel

Management and support of the regions strategic accounts

Maintaining a real time sales forecast per the requirements of the company

Development and maintenance of the sale funnel

Development and quotation of application solutions for our customers

 

Requirements:

5 to 10 years of relevant field capital equipment selling experience

3-5 years of relevant capital equipment sales management experience

Direct knowledge of Western Region customer base, including OEM accounts

Working understanding of Rework and Inspection technologies strongly preferred

Surface mount assembly process knowledge strongly preferred

International sales experience a plus

Excellent verbal and written documentation skills

Demonstrated history of successful sales management and quota achievement

50% to 60% travel required
