Project #65572 - Discussion

Predictions

For the Final Project, you analyzed the evolution of a particular medium of mass communication. This week, you will review two of your colleagues’ Final Projects to trace the evolution of different types of media and predict methods for experiencing mass communication in the future.

To prepare for this Discussion:

  • Review your classmates’ Final Projects in Doc Sharing.
  • Choose two Final Projects that focus on a medium of mass communication that is not one used in your own Final Project.
  • Analyze the evolution of the media presented in your two chosen Final Project examples. What does the evolution of these media tell you about the potential progress of mass communication?

With these thoughts in mind:

Post by Day 3 a response of 2–3 paragraphs drawing inferences from the evolution of mass communication to predict how you may use and experience mass communication in the future. Be sure to reference the two of your classmates’ Final Projects upon which you based your prediction.

Be sure to support your ideas by connecting them to the week’s Learning Resources or to something you have read, heard, seen, or experienced.

Read a selection of your colleagues’ postings.

Respond by Day 5, to someone who has reviewed your work, in the following ways:

  • Ask a probing question.
  • Share an insight from having read your colleague’s posting.
  • Offer and support an opinion.
  • Validate an idea with your own experience.
  • Make a suggestion.
  • Expand on your colleague’s posting.
