Answer the question:  Should everyone be entitled to Internet access?

HERE are two of my classmates' posts, reply them with 50words+ each

1.There are both positive and negative characteristics of the internet.  A lot of people get scammed using dating websites, social media, and fake shopping accounts.  It tends to consume many people's time and can lead to both anti social behavior and lack of exercise which therefore leads to obesity.  On the other hand, many schools are beginning to require either online classes or research based projects using specific websites.  Other schools use a website so the students may access homework assignments, turn in work electronically, check for canceled classes, and see their grades.  Job applications and basic work in offices can be found online and having access is detrimental to success.  With that being said, I don't find it to be an entitlement.  Internet access is given free at both colleges and local libraries.  If any one needs to use the web, they can go down to the library, it doesn't have to be at their home.  Using it this way will get the job done while not making internet a priority.

2.After reading this article and watching some of the videos that talk about digital divide I came to the conclusion that Internet is very important in our society and the it is also important that everybody has the same access to it and all of these new technological developments. The sad part that I notice is that there are millions of people that are living without electricity, water, or even enough food to survive, or a roof over their heads and this is what I think should be in our politicians minds. First they have to cover the basic survival needs for everyone in this world and then be worried about  technological advances like Internet. These are important but not as urgent as food, medical assistance, safe shelter, drinkable water, and electricity. In this country almost everybody if not everybody has access to the Internet at school or just by visiting a public library.
