Project #68805 - 'Outliers' by Malcolm Gladwell (Ch. 1&2)

I have written the first paragraph.

Of all the special advantages I have received, my mother is the biggest asset I have had. My mother, Yun, who earned a master's degree in the U.S. shows that hidden chance is a turning point to success. She has always wanted me to study abroad to see how the world changes, although my father did not want me to. My mother had experience living in the U.S. so she wanted me to experience the same thing to have wider sight. After 8th grade, I went to the U.S. for high school. In high school, no one seemed to want to go to college. They were busy hanging out with each other. Unsupportive host families and many classmates did not bother me going to college. My mother encouraged and motivated me to go to a good college. In order to increase my chances of acceptance to the colleges of my choice, she made me attend an SAT preparatory academy during every school vacation. With the support of my mother, my SAT grades rose and I got accepted to UCI.

Need to write 450-500 words about the prompt: In his book, Gladwell states that successful people "are invariably the beneficiaries of hidden advantages and extraordinary opportunities and cultural legacies" (19). Write a paper in which you explain his argument and include specific examples he uses to support his claim. In the second half of your paper, explain which "advantages," "opportunities," or "legacies" have contributed to your own success.

I need a title for this essay.
