3. Write about a time in your life in which you felt like an outsider, were you able to overcome this or did need to adapt in some way? Can you relate to the main character Gregor in anyway based on your own experience? (2-3 pages)
4. Respond to the following questions in a short 2-3 paged paper:
Why do you think this novel is written as a graphic novel rather than just plain text like the rest of the novels and short stories thus far? How would this story impact the reader if it were just written as traditional fiction? What effect does the author’s choice in telling her story as a graphic novel have on you, the reader?
