Project #72107 - Japanese Literature

The papers should consist of close readings of one or more works from the syllabus and the analysis should go beyond what was discussed in class. The most effective papers will focus on a well-defined problem or theme, articulate a clear and coherent argument (thesis statement), and support that argument with evidence from the text or texts. I encourage you to discuss your ideas with me and with Mari.

You are free to use secondary sources for your paper, but ALL material (including any ideas and information as well as actual phrasing) used from secondary sources must be properly documented through citation and footnotes
