Project #74121 - Essay critical analysis

Prompt:

A rhetorical analysis is the determination of the author’s thesis and the examination of how this thesis is argued and developed by the author.  It is not a critique where you evaluate the author’s thesis, nor a book report where you simply chronicle each point he or she makes.  It is a deep textual analysis of a writer’s argument and craft.

This paper is not like summary papers. You will not only explain "what" the author is arguing, but also "how" and "why" he makes his arguments. Present them in your own words.

Step:

Your paper should be: 1) thorough, including the original source’s main ideas, 2) succinct, leaving out repetition and unnecessary details in the original work, and 3) coherent, grouping sentences in paragraphs that connect the author’s ideas.4) Include essay map

Your thesis is a description of the writer’s argument and the craft she uses to establish her argument.  What devices does the author use to further his argument and how is this accomplished?  What exactly is she saying and how is she getting that across.  Go beyond the obvious.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically, you just have to read an argument essay (The Nutcracker.com by David Sedaris), provide thesis statement and examine/analyze it critically. Need to have at least 3 pages of critical analyses. (I'll attach the essay for you to read)
