Project #7692 - Negotiations Final

The topic I selected is "The constant battle between teachers unions and the government". The project Description is below.

Project Requirements

Literature Review

You must use at least five peer-reviewed sources from published books or journal articles, as well as reliable online resources. Information presented must be summarized accurately and all sources must be cited using the APA format (more information on this is below).

Real-World Example

You must include a "real-world" example reflecting how your topic or issue is/was addressed in another setting, such as school, work, family, etc. Possible information sources could include any of the following: interviews, documentaries, newspapers, magazines, journal articles, and books.

For example: if your topic is gender differences in conflict resolution, you may locate a journal article that addresses a real life family conflict between husband and wife, and explains how that conflict was resolved. Or you may find a paper that discusses gender conflicts in the workplace, and gives real life examples of how companies resolve such issues.

Theories and the Real World

Using your literature review and your textbook as references, explain how your "real-world" example reflects the theories and recommended methodologies used in conflict resolution. The purpose of this section is to show that you are able to relate what happens in real life, to the theories and processes you have been, and will be, studying in this course. This section of your project should be as thorough as possible.
For example, if your real life example involves an integrative negotiation situation, what specific types of integrative negotiation strategies were used to resolve the conflict?

Personal Application

If you were responsible for dealing with a conflict negotiation relating to your chosen topic, how would you handle it? What strategies would you consider using? How you would begin to work with those involved? What would be your first steps? What would you see as the major issues?

This section will allow you to apply your own ideas to what you have been reading and studying. Remember that while you are expressing your own ideas, you must relate them back to the information you have been reading.

Format

Produce a college-level paper with appropriate attention to grammatical conventions. While your paper will be graded primarily on the content, grammar and spelling will be taken into consideration as well. Your paper should be typed and submitted as a Microsoft Word document. Be sure to include all of the information and required materials listed above.

Your paper should be between 5-7 pages in length, and make sure that you have followed proper APA style guidelines
