Project #77482 - VB app w/ MS Access database

I would like help completing a desktop application with a Visual Basic Windows Forms Application GUI and a Microsoft Access database back-end. All code must be documented/commented. I have already set-up a database and some of the VB forms (see upload). I would prefer the forms to be Windows forms, using my Access forms as a template. The application will need to be multiple forms and allow users to pick from 5 options on the home screen: Enter Recipes; Search Recipes; Add Ingredients; Build a Meal Plan; & query recipes against ingredient on-hand. The specifics for the home screen options follow:

Enter Recipes:

brings up a form that allows users to input a recipe into the database, from must include a field for:

recipe name; recipe type; prep time; cook time; total time (auto-calculate); servings; and fields for up to 25 different ingredients

On button click event for adding recipe to database a message box should display alerting user that recipe was successfully added to the database

On button click to close form or exit app, if user has not successfully added a recipe to database the user should be asked to verify they would like to exit without saving.  If they have successfully added a recipe and/or all data entry fields are blank, the user should be allowed to exit without prompt

Search Recipes:

search and retrieve recipes entered into database prior;

recipe search function should allow for users to drill-down by recipe name, recipe type, and prep, cook, or total times;

must allow for printing of individual recipe on a recipe card form;

Add Ingredients (to the database):

Brings up a form that allows user to input ingredients into the database;

requires users to select an ingredient type from a combo box, input must be data validation restricted to items in the ingredientType table from the database;

allow users to key the ingredient name into a text box that only allows input after combo box selection has been made;

should include code verifying that the ingredient is not already in database;

on button click event for adding ingredient to database a message box should display alerting user that ingredient was successfully added to the database

On button click to close form or exit app, if user has not successfully added an ingredient to database the user should be asked to verify they would like to exit without saving.  If they have successfully added a ingredient and/or all data entry fields are blank, the user should be allowed to exit without prompt

Build a Menu Plan:

Require user to enter 3 meals each day, up to 4 recipes for each meal;

cover a seven day time period starting on Sunday;

allow for miscellaneous other items not associated with a specific meal to be selected from database, (acceptable to treat this as though an 8th day);

meal plan must allow for saving and printing;

meal plan must have the option to export to a seperate grocery list form;

On button click to close form or exit app, if user has not successfully saved or printed the menu plan the user should be asked to verify they would like to exit without saving or printing.  If they have successfully printed or saved, the user should be allowed to exit without prompt

Grocery List form

should allow users to remove ingredients already on-hand, as well as allow for ingredient additions from the database and have an area for handwritten notes,

the grocery list should be sorted by ingredient category (Baked Goods, Canned Goods, Dairy Product, Frozen Foods, Fruits/Vegetables, Meat, Misc.)

the grocery list must allow for saving in a format that can be easily emailed, must also be printable

On button click to close form or exit app, if user has not successfully saved or printed the grocery list the user should be asked to verify they would like to exit without saving or printing.  If they have successfully printed or saved, the user should be allowed to exit without prompt

Query option that determine what recipe(s) could be made using on-hand ingredients.

User should be able to enter up to 5 on-hand ingredients and on button click recieve an on-screen pop-up showing all recipes with more than a 50% match of ingredients on-hand

should allow user to add selected recipe from pop-up to meal plan

I will need to open and alter the application in the Visual Studio 2012 IDE.
