Project #77707 - Organizational Leadership

My degree is in Organizational Leadership, and the course is Change Analysis Project Capstone

Weekly Reports/ Status Update assignments: The first (of two) is due August 2, basically each report is simply a 1-2 page summary of where you are with your Capstone. If you’re still deciding, describe the thoughts you’re having in paragraph form. If you have made progress, you can submit what you’ve drafted for of one/some of the sections. You can use the space to describe your idea. You are also welcome to send an outline. If relevant, use citations. If there is something you don’t know, make assumptions.

CHOOSE AMONG THE FOLLOWING 3 OPTIONS FOR YOUR CAPSTONE PROJECT

OPTION 1 - THE BUSINESS FEASIBILITY APPROACH

Students interested in this option will assess the economic viability of a business venture relative to market, operational, and financial conditions and constraints.  Research associated with Option 1 includes defining the current or projected demand for a business; identifying a specific target market; determining specific operating requirements and associated costs; and conducting a financial analysis.  In other words, you will be exploring starting a new for-profit business.

OPTION 2 - THE SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP APPROACH

Students interested in this approach will propose a concept for an economically viable organization that addresses a social problem or need.  After identifying a social need, students will generate a promising organizational design that utilizes resources within the community to create an opportunity for social change. In other words, you will explore creating a new non-profit organization.

OPTION 3 - THE ORGANIZATIONAL STUDY APPROACH

Students interested in this option will collect data within an existing organization and propose a workable change initiative based on secondary research. Using opportunities within the organization, students will assume the role of researcher/consultant. In this capacity, students will obtain necessary permission and clearances to work either in their place of employment or a community organization. In other words, you will explore a proposal for change within an existing organization—either your place of work, or another organization with which you are familiar.
