A non-profit professional organization (www.issip.org) is considering developing a gamification environment by utilizing game thinking and game mechanics in order to engage members, users, management team and all stakeholders. One of their goal is to engage members, sponsors, staff, and other stakeholders.  

This organization needs assistance to develop a detailed requirements document, project plan, gamification design and implementation plan.

  • DELIVERABLE 1 – REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT (WITH MS WORD) Interview with few of the major stakeholders from the ISSI Review PMI and ISACA’s membership and professional development unit (PDU) concepts ? A one-page executive summary which concisely and precisely describes the business problem (or opportunity) which has led to this project and the benefits to be obtained from your gamification solution. It is typically read by managers or other people who do not have the time to read your entire document. As a result, the summary must be a clear articulation of what you are proposing. It should present a broad understanding of the background and purpose of the project, including the advantages to be obtained from your solution. In deciding what to include in the summary, consider which ideas and facts are most important for conveying the significance that this proposal has for the organization, and what kind of information the reader will need to know in order to recommend approval of your proposal. ? Identify all internal & external stakeholders ? Identify all operations and functionalities ? Identify services that are provided by www.issip.org ? What are the challenges, issues and opportunities with increasing the membership and supporting the members learning processes by doing? ? What are the things that members can earn points? (e.g. 21st century social media/networking tools: having twitter account and twits; linked in account; YouTube videos) ? Membership types (institutional paid members, individual members and student members) ? All requirements ? Identify Gamification strategies  currently being utilized in the industry environment  (for profits and non-profits) ? Review and evaluate these strategies   

 

 

  • DELIVERABLE 2 ? PROJECT PLAN (WITH MS PROJECT) (200 OR MORE ACTIVITIES/TASKS IN A PROJECT PLAN) (including an implementation plan) ? Work breakdown structure ? A template project plan; milestones, list of summary tasks, tasks, resources, etc. of this project (w/o actual dates)

  • DELIVERABLE 4 – GAME ANALYSIS & DESIGN DOCUMENT (WITH MS WORD atleast 2 pages) ? A list of operations/functional areas/departments etc. ? The goals and objectives of the project (project is design and development of game for www.issip.org) ? Strategy/methodology to identifying right solutions to develop this game ? Draw the as-is picture of a ISSIP’s strategy, and explain how a ISSIP can gain more competitive advantage by using gamification concept ? Functional areas it affects synergies it will create, business processes and operations affected or changed, etc.

? ? how stakeholders (members) can be monitored & awarded (may be moving to a higher level in the game) etc.
