Imagine that you are in a meeting about the strategy for a clothing manufacturer client who is proposing a new upscale version of its product (think GAP opening Banana Republic as an example).  One of your team members says that positioning is an old strategy and no longer useful for modern products because the market is so complex and changes so quickly.  Another person argues strongly that you need to understand the position in the consumers' mind before you even begin to develop an advertising strategy.  Which of the two arguements do you favor and why? Write one paragraph about your idea.
