Project #82098 - Leadership Project

The project is asking you to pretend you are leading a group of friends on a hike. As you Lead your group through this project you seek to understand is “how do I as an introverted leader effectively lead a group of individuals yet lacking an extroverted desposition?” To further, understand your conundrum you will prentend to ask the two individuals the same questions mentioned below with the following  quetions:

Wwhat makes you an effective introverted leader in your position?

2)   Which Leaders in the world, it could be anyone do you admire the most?

3)   Did you always want to be in a position of leadership?

4)   Do you find leading your subordinates simple or complex as an introverted individual?

5)   Do you feel you excel in your position of leadership as an introverted?

Then you will begin writing in 7Pg's

  1. An introduction of what your leadership project encompassed (who did you lead, what did you lead them on, etc?).

  2. What your particular “leadership conundrum” was all about (what did the issue focus upon, details, etc.)?

  3. A discussion of what the leadership style you used is all about in dealing with the group and why you think that was the style you used (document and relate to the literature out there)? For example, Authoritative leadership, pacesetting leadership, democratic, coerceive, affiliative, or coaching leadership.

  4. How did you deal with your particular conundrum in leading the group (list references and ideas that might relate to how you handled it)? Did the ideas you gained from the interviews help? Did fixing the conundrum help lead the group or not?

(Background)

I have chosen to lead a group of my friends on a hike through the Ramapo Valley County Reservation in Bergen Country, NJ.  It is an activity, which, my friends and I don’t normally undertake.  However, it should be exciting since we don’t usually go trekking in the woods.

I have chosen this conundrum because often when I have been in a position of leadership I find it difficult to suppress my natural introverted tendencies. As leaders, we put ourselves out there. However, I have always preferred anonymity.  My goal in life is to be an effective leader. Therefore, I eagerly hope to seek an answer to this conundrum.

I have chosen two leaders I will interview in order to gain some understanding into my conundrum. The first leader I have chosen in my current manager, Eric Kutsoati. Eric has worked at Net-a-porter.com for many years as a customer service manager, currently leading 52 employees. The second leader I have chosen is my brother Jonathan Ventura. Jonathan is currently warehouse manager for the Joseph Cory Company, currently leading over 100 employees. Cory is a distributor of appliances and furniture in the tri-state area.  I have chosen these two leaders because I’ve known them for many years. Further, more importantly these two leaders consider themselves introverted. I consider them to be very successful, and I believe they excel in their positions of leadership.  The list of question I will be asking these two leaders are:
