Project #83024 - Exploration Activity 2 - How Does Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Change the Chemistry of Seawater?

In 1-2 sentences, give an example of a marine organism that you are familiar with that is "patchy" in distribution. Speculate how this may relate to abiotic factors in nature (e.g. temperature, salinity, oxygen levels, sun light, etc) - in other words, what changing environmental factor do you think controls the distribution of the population you picked. Your score for this question will be based not on whether you are right or wrong, but on the apparent depth of thought you put into your answer.

Procedure

In this activity you are going to visit an interactive website created by Stanford to learn more about ocean acidification and the impacts it can have on marine life.
